Jackie Leyra
Jackie is a West Indian artist, born in Cuba, who lived in Jamaica for about 10 years. While in Jamaica she painted this beach scene. Being Caribbean born, she loves the sandy beach and the turquoise blue ocean and wanted to capture the feeling of calm and serenity. Thus she excluded people from the beach, for a more serene feel.
This Jamaican beach painting captures the essence of a perfect getaway – a place where time seems to stand still, and the worries of the world fade away amidst the beauty of the coconut palm, the sandy beach, and the expanse of sky and sea.
Jackie now resides in the USA.
