Cordial made from sorrel, to create a traditional Jamaican Christmas drink.
Many year ago I drank Agua de Jamaica (Jamaican water) at Christmas in Mexico City. I felt very at home although Agua de Jamaica is an unsweetened version of the traditional Jamaican Christmas beverage. To make amends, I suppose, the Agua de Jamaica those many year ago had a few joints of sugar cane in the jug.
Jamaican Sorrel is high in vitamins and minerals with powerful antioxidant properties.
Directions
Mix 1 part cordial with 5 parts water or soda water. Serve chilled or with ice.
Ingredients: Sugar, water, ginger, sorrel, approved artificial flavours, citric acid, approved stabilizer, sodium benzoate (preservative), caramel colour and FD & C Red #40
